If The World Was Created In 7 Literal Days, Then Explain The Day Year Principle And Why If We Use The Literal Definition Of a Day… But We Don’t For The 3.5 Years In Daniel?

In Ezekiel 4:6 God introduced the day for a year principle (40 days for the 40 years Israel spent in the Wilderness). When it is prophetic in nature, we apply this principle. And similarly in Num 14:34. “God created in 6 days” is not a prophetic event, it is a fact. This is similar to other timelines that are not prophetic in nature for that specific event (Elijah and 3.5 years of drought).

Below are the different depictions of the 3.5-year prophetic timeline between 538AD – 1798AD which is a perfect example of Hebrew Parallelism. This is key to analyzing prophetic events. “Time, times and dividing of times” is 3.5 years but on 2 other occasions this timeline is given as “1260 days” and then on another as “42 months”. So, in prophecy we convert days to years, similar to that of the 2300 “day” prophecy which is converted to years (Daniel 8:14). So, the 3.5 years is first converted to days (1260 days) and then used in prophecy by converting it to years. Some bible translations do not provide us with Hebrew parallelism and destroys the credibility of prophecy.

Dan 7:25 – And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Rev 13:5 – And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Rev 11:3 – And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Rev 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Just an interesting point (off the topic), 3.5 years is half of seven (Jesus was “cut off” and was crucified after 3.5 literal years) – this time period always points to a time of resistance and apostacy. Short video by Doug Batchelor around this prophetic timeline.

Another example is the 70-week prophecy – again you convert it to days (490 days) and then to years – which was the time to Jesus’ anointment. Just in case you were interested, Walter discussed this in his first episode of TO:
